Product Overview
Yinuo New Material Technology (Heze) Co., Ltd. offers a high-performance release agent specifically formulated for polyurethane (PU) self-skinning foam applications requiring in-mold coating (IMC) processes. Developed with advanced silicone and polymer technology, our release agent delivers exceptional release properties while ensuring seamless compatibility with both solvent-based and water-based in-mold paint systems.
Designed to meet the demanding requirements of automotive interiors, medical devices, fitness equipment, furniture components, and other high-quality PU self-skinning applications, our release agent enables the production of parts with flawless surface finishes, crisp grain patterns, and consistent gloss.
Key Features & Benefits
Superior Release Performance
Our advanced formulation ensures easy, clean demolding of complex-shaped PU self-skinning parts-. The release agent provides strong demolding power even for intricate geometries and deep-draw cavities, minimizing rejects and production downtime.
Excellent Compatibility with In-Mold Coatings
This release agent is specifically engineered to work in harmony with in-mold paint systems-. It allows uniform application of PU in-mold coatings – whether solvent-based or water-based – without compromising adhesion, coverage, or finish quality. The result is parts with vibrant, consistent color and excellent surface durability.
Superior Surface Finish
Parts produced with our release agent feature smooth, dry-touch surfaces with excellent gloss consistency and no oily residue-. The release agent preserves mold surface texture, ensuring that fine grain patterns are faithfully reproduced on finished parts. The resulting surfaces are clean, non-sticky, and ready for secondary operations.
Minimal Mold Residue & Easy Maintenance
Our release agent leaves minimal to no build-up on the mold surface, significantly reducing the frequency of mold cleaning. This extends mold service life, minimizes production interruptions, and lowers overall maintenance costs.
Compatibility with Post-Processing Operations
The release agent does not interfere with subsequent finishing operations such as painting, coating, printing, electroplating, or adhesive bonding-. Parts can be further processed without additional surface preparation, streamlining your production workflow.
Low Odor & Environmental Compliance
Formulated with low VOC content, our release agent offers a safer, more pleasant working environment for operators-. It meets international environmental standards and is suitable for industries with stringent VOC and emission requirements, such as automotive and medical device manufacturing.
Cost-Effective Concentrated Formulation
Available in concentrated form, our release agent offers excellent dilution ratios (typically 1:5 to 1:20 with water or solvent, depending on formulation), significantly reducing per-part consumption costs while maintaining superior performance.
Applications
Our PU in-mold coating self-skinning release agent is widely used in the production of self-skinning polyurethane components across various industries-, including:
-
Automotive Interiors – steering wheels, instrument panels, armrests, door panels, sun visors
-
Medical Devices – equipment handles, grips, medical device housings
-
Fitness Equipment – exercise equipment handles, seat cushions, armrests
-
Furniture & Seating – office chair armrests, toilet seats, furniture components
-
Consumer Products – balance wheel PU parts, footwear components, sporting goods
-
Industrial Components – PU elastomer parts, seals, rollers, gaskets
It is suitable for both solvent-based and water-based release agent systems, and compatible with steel, aluminum, epoxy, and polyester molds-. The product works effectively across a wide temperature range (typically 40–120°C).
Usage Instructions
-
Thoroughly clean the mold surface before initial use
-
Heat the mold to the recommended working temperature (typically 40–120°C depending on formulation)-
-
For new or refurbished molds, apply 1–2 initial coats of release agent and allow to cure
-
Spray the release agent evenly onto the mold surface – wiping with a clean cotton cloth is recommended for optimal distribution-
-
Apply the PU in-mold coating (paint : solvent = 1:4–6, or as per coating manufacturer's recommendation)
-
Pour the PU formulation into the mold, close, and allow foaming and curing to complete
-
Demold the finished part – the surface should release cleanly with excellent finish quality
-
Reapply a light coat of release agent after each part for best results
